About Donna Tucker
Donna Tucker prefers to paint in the world of familiar to express her creativity and artistic outlook on life. Her sincerest desire is to acknowledge the beauty, elegance and delicacy that we are engulfed in on a day-to-day basis, through her art. She yearns to bring comfort, delight and elation through her paintings. Donna paints with love and compassion in hopes of bringing you to a utopia of color and design where mind, heart and soul are seamlessly fulfilled.
“I want my art to make people happy …”
Her artistic beginnings:
When you see Donna’s art you’ll probably think that she was born with a paintbrush in her hand. While she has always been one of the most creative people in the room, you’ll be surprised to know that her art career actually began later in life.
Donna has been a world traveler, at first with her father when he was in the Army and then with her husband who worked in construction. While she was traveling in Saudi Arabia, she had the pleasure of meeting a watercolor artist who intensified her interest in learning art.
Her artistic journey and education:
Donna considers herself largely self-taught. After she returned to the states from her overseas adventures, she did not pursue her passion for art due to returning to work full time and raising a family.
As her two boys grew into men, and the youngest enlisted into the Army band, she decided to switch gears and explore her abilities in painting and art. She started with a six-week art class, and almost immediately found her calling and passion in life. She fervently paints most days and is constantly studying her craft. She is truly fascinated with color theory, landscape art and contemporary realist art. She is continually growing with her quest for artistic knowledge and attends at least one workshop a year, taught by a nationally recognized artist.
Her Paintings:
Now an established artist and prolific painter, Donna maintains her website and Facebook page to showcase her art. Please follow her on her artist growth and journey.
